Gerakini Anna, Philologist – Special Educator MSc – PhD Candidate in Psychology
Graduate of the Department of Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology with specialization in Psychology at the University of Athens, with postgraduate studies at the same university, specifically in the Postgraduate Program “School Psychology” with specialization in “Applications of Psychology in the School Community”. PhD candidate at the Department of Psychology of the University of Athens in the field of Educational Psychology – Special Educational Needs. Philologist in private education and collaborator in activities related to the students΄ inclusion from vulnerable social groups in mainstream school, which are implemented by the Laboratory for the Study, Teaching and Dissemination of the Greek Language and Multilingualism of the University of Thessaly under the auspices of UNICEF, the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports and the Institute of Educational Policy. My research interests are related to special learning difficulties and high abilities and talents and, in particular, to the difficulties faced by students with these particularities on a cognitive and psychosocial level. I am also involved in the design of instructional interventions based on differentiated instruction for students with special educational needs or typical development in the general classroom.
