Anna Afentoulidou was born in Thessaloniki and lives in Athens. She is a philologist with postgraduate studies in Surrealism and Creative Writing and has conducted doctoral research in literary criticism. She works as a Special Education Consultant at the Institute of Educational Policy of the Ministry of Education. Her collection of poems Elipon Simio was on the Short List of Newcomer author of the magazine Diavazo (Gavriilidis Publications, 2010) and Istories Iconicis Isoropias in the Short List of the State Prize for Poetry of the Ministry of Culture (Gavriilidis Publications, 2013). She is a member of the Greek Comparative Literature Association, the Poets’ Circle, the Jury of the State Prizes for Literary Translation of the Ministry of Culture, and the Secretary General of the Hellenic Authors’ Society. Her last book is the consolidated edition of Konstantinos Theotokis’ Short Stories (Association for the Dissemination of Useful Books Publications, 2022).
