Serge Ebersold has been a professor at the CNAM since 2016. As holder of the accessibility chair, he develops a sociology of accessibility. He was project advisor for the European agency for special needs and inclusive education from 2011 to 2022 and set up research group on accessibility, disability and educational and school practices (GRAHPES) between 2009 and 2015. He was an analyst at the OECD between 2006 and 2009, where he analysed pathways of young adults with SEN towards higher education and employment and carried out analyses of inclusive policies in various OECD and non-OECD countries. He was a senior lecturer (HDR) at the University of Strasbourg from 1992 to 2006, where he taught the sociology of disability and conducted research on inclusive education and access to employment for people with disabilities. He was also involved in the development of the ICF. He works on changes in public policy in relationship the inclusive education as well as access to employment and citizenship for vulnerable people. His latest publications are accessibility or reinventing education, Iste, LONDON (2021) and Le temps de l’accessibilité, Paris, l’Harmattan (2024).
