Stela Ivanova is a chief expert at the Inclusive Education Directorate with the Ministry of Education and Science in Bulgaria. The focus of her work is to support the development and implementation of the state educational standard for inclusive education, the inclusion of children and students with special educational needs and with chronic diseases in the institutions of the preschool and school education system. She has previous experience as resource teacher and speech therapist for more than 11 years as part of the team of the Regional Center for Supporting the Process of Inclusive Education in Sofia. She holds a Master Degree for Speech Therapy and Bachelor Degree for Special Education from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. Stela is also a certified Montessori teacher.
