I serve as headmistress of the 7th Primary School of Aspropyrgos, since 1991. When I was first appointed here, the school numbered 68 students of whom only four where Roma. Our slogan is “No child left out on the street”. At the same time, we try to improve the quality of education- teaching by taking part in various national and European projects and by cooperating with Greek Universities. Our main goal is to transform the school to an inclusive space, rejecting assimilative education. To that end, we have frequent and direct cooperation with the students’ parents, so that they can acquire knowledge and skills with which they might realize their dreams.
