Altouchova Galina

Galina Altouchova serves as the Head of the Independent Department for Coordination and Monitoring of Refugee Education within the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs. Holding a doctoral degree in Pedagogical Sciences, her expertise lies in ‘Training young educators to facilitate and foster intercultural interactions among students’.

Over the past 29 years, she has been actively engaged in the field of intercultural education. This involvement spans various roles, from teaching in Intercultural Schools, Reception Classes, and Refugee Hosting Centers to contributing to programs conducted by prestigious institutions such as the University of Athens, Hellenic Open University, Institute of Educational Policy, and the Manpower Employment Organization (OAED).

In addition to her administrative and academic endeavors, she has authored 11 educational publications tailored to the needs of students with migrant or refugee backgrounds. Furthermore, she plays a pivotal role in educating and empowering educators in the realms of differentiated pedagogy and intercultural inclusive education.
