Nikolaou Vasiliki

I am a graduate of the School of Music Studies of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and hold a degree in Piano, Harmony and Counterpoint. At the present time, I am completing my postgraduate studies in ” Cultural Organizations Management” at the Hellenic Open University.

I work as a music teacher at the 2nd Primary School of Agia Varvara. Since 2017 I have been a founding member of the WHI ensemble (https://ensemblewhi.wordpress.com/), an ensemble that focuses on free improvisation, the study and performance of experimental music scores, with a particular interest in verbal and graphic open-form scores.

My goals during the teaching process of music are, among others, the expression and development of my students’ creativity through the art of music, the cultivation of their social skills and an emphasis on the value of human networks as a factor of social cohesion, collective memory and identity – collective emancipation, within a multicultural public school unit, with extroversion traits manifested in the engagement with the local community.
